The Bicycle Coalition, Families for Safe Streets of Greater Philadelphia, and Vision Zero Philadelphia are co-hosting Philly’s World Day of Remembrance. This is a global day to honor people who have lost their lives or been impacted by roadway crashes.
It will be held on Sunday, November 16th at Fairhill Square Park (near Lehigh Ave in North Philly). The press conference will be at 11am (with local electeds including Senator Tartaglione) followed by lunch at 12pm.
The theme this year is “Safe Speeds Save Lives”—so we will be advocating for the expansion of the automatic speed cameras to more than 5 corridors in Philly. Hoping to get a strong turnout of traffic safety advocates.
